TIRA's register listed 33 active insurance companies and takaful operators when we checked on 23 September 2026. Its 2024 annual report counted 36 insurers and 4 reinsurers at the end of 2024. Always check a company on the register before you pay.

- Choose the category — insurance company, insurance broker, bancassurance agent, takaful operator…
- Keep only active entries and search the name.

We reproduce the live register. The National Health Insurance Fund is registered separately as a health insurance scheme, and the reinsurers (Tanzania Reinsurance Company, East Africa Reinsurance (Tanzania), Grand Reinsurance Tanzania) do not sell to the public.
