How to claim

  1. The employee or the employer reports the accident or illness as soon as possible: when and where it happened.
  2. Submit the occupational hazard claim, confirming the details.
  3. Provide the medical reports of the treating doctor.
  4. The employer confirms the incident, the employment and the cover.
  5. Give next-of-kin details and submit any medical bills already paid.

Steps from RSSB. If a motor vehicle caused the work accident, the 2025 accident law says the insurer or the occupational hazards organ pays, and a victim with other insurance can also claim under that contract (Law n° 029/2025, article 14) (Law).
