Zanzibar travel insurance: the mandatory US$44 inbound policy

Every foreign visitor to Zanzibar must hold the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation inbound travel policy, mandatory since 1 October 2024. It costs US$44 per visitor (children under 3 free, ages 3–17 half price), lasts up to 92 days, and covers medical emergencies, repatriation, personal accident, baggage and liability. Your own travel insurance is not accepted instead.
